Our team has developed an idea that we all feel very strongly about; our idea is to stop poaching. We feel there has been too much poaching, especially of northern white rhinos. There are only 3 northern whites left in the world. Our idea is to create a mechanical rhino, that looks like a real rhino from a far distance, so poachers will think it’s real and try to kill it. There will be a camera placed in its eye and stomach, so when the poacher tries to skin it, or cut off its horns, the tape on the camera will catch what they look like. This idea works first by transporting the fake rhinos to the wild where poachers will most likely look. We will then be able to activate these mechanical rhinos from miles away so they would be able to do their job and be the decoy.
